Cool Kicks

Wecome, Chic Click Carnival!

The Buddy has more shoes than he will ever need and it isn't all my fault. The hubby loves his kicks too. So when a fellow boy mom (and friend) showed me the new kids line of Chuck Taylors, I knew the buddy needed a pair...or 4 :o)

Here Ye, Here Ye

The Trumpette has sounded and with it comes style!! You probably have seen Trumpette's socks before. If not, here is a sample of the Trumpette style sock for little ones:

The Buddy received a box of them when he was tiny and I loved them. They looked great with his outfits when we went out, but I didn't have to fuss with shoes :o)

While visiting Market in Dallas with my mother (who owns a store) I stumbled into the Trumpette showroom and was excited about their new line. I think you will be too! Puddle Jumpers

If you haven't seen a puddle jumper yet, I am excited to be the one to introduce it to you! My little buddy hasn't had a swimming lesson yet (I know shame, shame), but loves the water. I have been looking for a flotation device that would allow him to feel confident in the water but still safe...Voila! Puddle Jumper!

The patent pending design allows free range of motion and great stability while in the water. They have great faces on the front that your buddy will love too. I have seen them online anywhere from $15.00 to $34.00. I found The Buddy's last weekend at Tom Thumb...$12.00 with my TT card! Freakin Fedorable!

I recently came across some tiny sized fedora hats and HAD to share them with you. They are Uber Cute and I beg of you to get one, put it on your little buddy and send me pics! The Buddy won't wear anything on his head, so these are out for me :o(

"Clothes don't grow...kids do!"

The Buddy is currently 21 months old and most of his clothes are sized 12 months. We have a skinny kid here, so allllll the winter clothes I bought last year for him to wear this year are still hanging with the tags on them. I quickly learned that I don't have the luxury of buying out of season for the next year because I don't have any idea what size I need.

Now what to do with all the clothes that he never wore? I came across a new site called Thred Up and am totally intrigued. The idea is that you list a box of clothing (boxes are free too!) and can choose from tons of listed boxes in the sizes you need. Take one out, then put one in! It is like a giant swap party (which I am totally thinking of hosting too...think Swap til you drop...girls night...with your kids clothes! Would you come?) Anyway...you can browse by gender, size, brands and rating. So you can be confident you are getting what you want. Sounds like a brilliant idea to me! Check it out!

Time to Jam

At my house jammies are a big deal. We love giving them as gifts (Bdays, Easter, Christmas Eve, etc), but I hate paying $17-$20 for decent jammies for The Buddy. Recently while at Wal-Mart I came across jammies that look JUST like the ones I have been paying so much for. I bought a few and they are JUST as great! Did you know they carry Carters too?

April Showers

I hate rain. I don't like it to touch me and I hate driving in it...it definitely makes me a debby downer. BUT this line of rain gear makes me smile! I think The Buddy would love this set of Pirate Rainwear found at Kitsel.

Tiny with a BIG Cause

Fore!!

Fellow 'Boy Mom' and good friend, Adriane recently passed on a fabulous..eh um...I mean cool new line for boys! It is called Fore! Axel and Hudson. A lot of people consider "cool" boys clothes to only have guitars, skulls and cross bones or the ever popular animals with funny sayings (see ya later, alligator), but if you really look there are other options out there! Now don't get me wrong, 90% of The Buddy's clothes fit into one of the categories above and that is simply because I feel like that is all there is to choose from. NOW I know differently!


What is cool about Fore!! Axel and Hudson is how it is a clever mix of country club and california. Laid back and preppy at the same time.
